How Daily Member Streaks Work

A task streak follows one responsibility. A daily member streak looks at the person’s day as a whole. It helps the member see how many days they have followed through across their assigned list.

Quick Start

  1. Review the member’s tasks for the day.
  2. Complete the tasks that are due.
  3. Use Excuse only when a parent needs to skip a valid occurrence.
  4. Check the end-of-day streak report.

What the report shows

  • The member’s current daily streak.
  • The member’s longest daily streak.

What counts

  • Completed tasks count.
  • Excused tasks preserve the daily streak.
  • Bonus and As Needed tasks follow the daily-streak rules.

What breaks the streak

  • A missed task can break it.
  • A rejected task can break it.
  • Completing a missed task the next day does not restore the previous day.

Family Example

A member has four tasks. Three are completed and one is excused by a parent. The day can still count toward the member’s daily streak, even though the excused task earns no S’mores.

Good to Know

  • Start with the smallest version that solves the problem.
  • Change one setting at a time so you can see what helped.
  • Missed days are information, not proof that your family failed.
  • Open Help in the IAFT app and send a message if something does not work as expected.

Best First Action

At the end of today, review the member’s daily streak report and notice one thing that helped.
