Understanding Your PUP Score

Parenting pressure can be hard to notice while you are moving through a busy week. IAFT shows the PUP score in the profile so the family has one place to notice that pressure and reflect on what feels heavy.

Quick Start

  1. Open your profile.
  2. Find the PUP score.
  3. Treat it as a reflection, not a grade.
  4. Choose one family pressure point you want to make lighter.

What the score is for

  • It helps make parenting pressure visible.
  • It can give the parent a starting point for reflection.
  • It should support a conversation about what needs help.

What it is not

  • It is not a diagnosis.
  • It is not a judgment of the parent or family.
  • IAFT does not currently provide a full PUP trend report or monthly stress report.

Use it with one small action

  • Choose one repeated reminder to move into IAFT.
  • Simplify one routine.
  • Ask another adult to share one responsibility when possible.

Family Example

A parent notices that remembering school preparation is one major source of pressure. They add one evening backpack task instead of trying to fix every part of the week.

Good to Know

  • Start with the smallest version that solves the problem.
  • Change one setting at a time so you can see what helped.
  • Missed days are information, not proof that your family failed.
  • Open Help in the IAFT app and send a message if something does not work as expected.

Best First Action

Open your profile, review the PUP score, and choose one pressure point to make slightly easier.
