How to Filter and Group Weekly View

A family week can include many tasks across several people. Weekly View becomes more useful when you narrow it to the person, category, or part of the day you want to understand.

Quick Start

  1. Open Weekly View from the landing page.
  2. Choose a family-member filter.
  3. Group the activity by category or time.
  4. Look for one pattern before changing the setup.

Filter by family member

  • Focus on one person’s activity.
  • Use the filter to understand what they were assigned and what happened.

Group by category

  • See related task categories together.
  • Remember that a category is a display grouping, not a progress report.

Group by time

  • Review what happened during different parts of the day.
  • Use this to spot a difficult morning, afternoon, or evening pattern.

Time range

  • Weekly View shows the current week and the prior week.
  • It does not provide a full long-term report.

Family Example

A parent filters Weekly View to one child and groups tasks by time. They notice that morning tasks are working but evening tasks are often missed.

Good to Know

  • Start with the smallest version that solves the problem.
  • Change one setting at a time so you can see what helped.
  • Missed days are information, not proof that your family failed.
  • Open Help in the IAFT app and send a message if something does not work as expected.

Best First Action

Filter Weekly View to one family member and look for one useful pattern.
