How to Report a Bug or Request a Feature

S’moresUp includes an in-app support feed.

Use it to:

  • Ask the Developers
  • Report a problem
  • Request a feature
  • Attach screenshots
  • Attach a short video

Open Support

Use:

Hamburger menu → FAQ & Support → Support

Then choose:

  • Ask the Developers
  • Feature Request

A legacy Campfire question-mark path may also open support in some versions.

Ask the Developers

Use this for:

  • App problem
  • Missing chore
  • Wallet issue
  • Login problem
  • Calendar sync
  • Premium not appearing
  • Unexpected feature behavior

The message is sent to the support team for triage.

Feature Request

Use Feature Request for:

  • New idea
  • Improvement
  • Workflow suggestion
  • Missing setting
  • Usability feedback

Feature requests use the same feed style but a different request type.

What to Include

Support posts do not automatically include a full diagnostic report.

Add:

  • S’moresUp account email
  • Device type
  • Device model
  • iOS, Android, or web
  • Operating-system version
  • App version
  • Family member affected
  • Chore, reward, or event name
  • What you expected
  • What happened
  • Steps to reproduce
  • Date and approximate time
  • What you already tried

Add Screenshots or Video

The support composer can include user-selected:

  • Photos
  • Screenshots
  • Video

Use media to show:

  • Error message
  • Wrong chore state
  • Missing button
  • Calendar issue
  • App closing
  • Incorrect Wallet entry

Remove private information before attaching.

Diagnostic Logs Are Not Attached

The current support-post payload does not automatically attach:

  • Device logs
  • Crash dumps
  • Full OS details
  • Full app configuration
  • Automatic reproduction steps

The app may store device information for notifications, but that is not the same as a bug-report package.

Write Reproduction Steps

Good example:

  1. Open child Maya.
  2. Open Today’s Progress.
  3. Complete “Feed Dog.”
  4. Add Photo Proof.
  5. Tap Submit.
  6. App returns to pending without an error.

This is more useful than:

It does not work.

Do Not Send Secrets

Never send:

  • Password
  • Personal PIN
  • Family PIN
  • Full payment-card number
  • Security code
  • Child information not needed for the issue

A receipt or transaction reference may be enough for billing support.

Old User Manual and FAQ Links

The Support screen may still point to older Zendesk User Manual and FAQ pages.

Those links are being replaced by the new Help Center.

Use the new WordPress Help Center when available.

Response Time

No public response-time promise is documented.

Support-post creation notifies the support team, but notification is not a response SLA.

Common Problems

The attachment will not upload

Check connection, photo permission, file size, and storage.

The support message has no device details

Add them manually.

The request is an idea, not a bug

Choose Feature Request.

The old User Manual link fails

Use the new Help Center or Ask the Developers.

The issue is billing

Include the purchase provider and receipt reference, but not full card details.
