S’moresUp is a chores-first family management app that helps parents make responsibilities clear and helps kids see, complete, and get recognized for the work they do.
Families can use S’moresUp to assign chores, build routines, send reminders, give S’mores, create rewards, manage allowance, plan family events, review the week, and celebrate progress.
The basic idea is simple:
Clear chores. Visible progress. Fair rewards.
Kids know what they are responsible for. Parents can see what is pending, completed, or waiting for approval. The whole family has one shared system instead of relying only on repeated reminders.

How S’moresUp Works
A normal chore follows a clear path:
- A parent creates the chore.
- The chore is assigned to a family member.
- The chore appears when it is due.
- The child completes the work and marks it done.
- A parent reviews it if approval is turned on.
- The child earns the S’mores connected to the chore.
- The completed chore becomes part of the family’s visible progress.
Here is a simple example:
A parent assigns Feed the dog to Maya every morning. Maya sees the chore in her profile, feeds the dog, and marks the chore complete. If Parent Approval is on, a parent reviews it. Maya earns 10 S’mores that she can use toward a reward on her Reward Shelf.
That small flow connects responsibility, follow-through, progress, and reward.
How It Helps Kids
S’moresUp gives kids a clear place to see what they own.
Over time, children can practice:
- Following routines
- Remembering what needs to be done
- Managing time
- Taking ownership
- Completing work without repeated reminders
- Saving for a reward
- Making spending choices
- Working with siblings
- Contributing to the family
- Seeing progress across the week
For a younger child, this may mean putting toys away, feeding a pet, or placing clothes in the hamper.
For an older child or teen, it may mean managing laundry, helping prepare a meal, taking ownership of a weekly chore, or saving S’mores toward something meaningful.
The goal is not only to finish chores. It is to help kids build real responsibility a little at a time.
How It Helps Parents
S’moresUp moves chores, reminders, and rewards into a system the family can see.
Parents can use it to:
- Make expectations visible
- Reduce repeated verbal reminders
- Assign work fairly
- Rotate unpopular chores
- Review completed chores
- Approve chores where quality matters
- Track S’mores, rewards, and allowance
- Share responsibility with another adult
- Use Weekly View to spot repeated misses
- Adjust the system as children grow
S’moresUp does not replace parenting. It gives the family a clearer way to manage the work together.
More Than a Chore Chart
Chores are the starting point, but S’moresUp includes several connected parts.
S’mores, Reward Shelf, and Wallet
Children can earn S’mores for completed chores and use them for rewards, allowance, or savings goals.
The Reward Shelf gives kids something clear to work toward. The Wallet helps them see what they have earned, what is available, and what they may want to save.
This can help kids practice earning, spending, saving, and waiting.
Family Calendar
The Family Calendar keeps events and plans visible in one shared place.
Families can use it for school events, appointments, practices, trips, and other plans everyone needs to know about.
Weekly View
Weekly View is the reporting experience in S’moresUp.
Parents can use it to review what was completed, what was missed, what is waiting for approval, and which chores may need a better time, clearer instructions, or a different owner.
Campfire
Campfire is the family communication space inside S’moresUp.
Use it for family updates, photos, encouragement, questions, and celebrations. It works best when the family sees more than corrections and reminders.
Free and Premium
Families can begin with S’moresUp Free and use the core chore-and-reward system without enforced limits on family members or chores.
Premium adds advanced controls for families that need more structure, such as advanced chore types, approval, Photo Proof, and other Premium settings.
You do not need Premium to understand the basic S’moresUp flow. Start with clear chores and add advanced controls only when they solve a real problem.
Common Questions
Is S’moresUp only for chores?
No. Chores are the main starting point, but families can also use S’moresUp for routines, reminders, rewards, allowance, savings goals, the Family Calendar, Weekly View, and Campfire.
Do we have to use money or allowance?
No. S’mores can be connected to money, but they can also be used for privileges, experiences, non-money rewards, or family goals.
Examples include:
- Choosing the family movie
- Extra game time
- Picking dinner
- A family outing
- Saving toward a toy or hobby
Is S’moresUp only for younger kids?
No. S’moresUp can be used with younger children, school-age kids, tweens, and teens. The chores, reminders, and rewards should match the child’s age, ability, and independence.
Does every child need a device?
No. Families can begin with a shared device. Younger children can complete chores with help from a parent. Older children can use their own profile and device when ready.
Does S’moresUp support iOS and Android?
Yes. S’moresUp supports both iOS and Android. Some buttons or store-management steps may look different, but the family system is connected to the S’moresUp account.
Do we need to set up everything at once?
No. A small chore system the family uses is better than a large system everyone ignores.
A Simple Way to Start
Pick 5 to 7 chores your family already understands.
Good starter chores include:
- Make the bed
- Feed the pet
- Put laundry in the hamper
- Clear the dinner plate
- Pack the school bag
- Put shoes by the door
- Help set the table
Assign the chores, let each child complete one, and celebrate the first S’mores they earn.
Once the basic flow works, add reminders, rewards, rotation, approval, and other features as needed.
