How to Choose Tasks from a Pack

Packs and Challenges both help families find useful tasks, but they are designed for different kinds of participation.

Quick Start

  1. Open the Pack.
  2. Read one task at a time.
  3. Add the useful task.
  4. Set its owner, schedule, reminders, and S’mores after it is in your family.

Choose less, not more

  • A Pack is an idea library.
  • You do not need every task.
  • Start with the task that removes the most friction.

After adding a task

  • The task behaves like another family task.
  • You can edit or delete the copied task.
  • The original Pack remains unchanged.

Family Example

A morning Pack includes six ideas. The family adds only Put backpack by the door and makes it repeat on school nights.

Good to Know

  • Start with the smallest version that solves the problem.
  • Change one setting at a time so you can see what helped.
  • Missed days are information, not proof that your family failed.
  • Open Help in the IAFT app and send a message if something does not work as expected.

Best First Action

Add one task from one Pack and use it before choosing another.
