Campfire or Community Is Not Showing Correctly

Campfire and Community are different spaces.

Campfire is for the family.

Community is parent-only.

A missing post, tab, or action may be expected based on permissions or moderation.

Check Campfire Access

Parents can manage Campfire access per child.

Check whether the child can:

  • View Campfire
  • Create posts
  • Share photos as part of a post

Comment and Heart-reaction permissions are not separate controls in the confirmed model.

A Child Cannot See Campfire

Check:

  • The child’s Campfire viewing permission
  • Correct child profile
  • Correct family
  • App update
  • Internet connection

A child cannot access Community.

A Child Cannot Post

Posting permission must be on for that child.

Photo sharing is part of posting.

A child who can view Campfire may still be blocked from creating posts.

A Post Disappeared

A Campfire post may disappear because:

  • The author deleted it
  • A parent deleted a child’s post
  • The family is viewing another feed
  • The app has not synced
  • The family was restored or changed

When a Campfire post is deleted, its comments are lost too.

Posts cannot be edited after publishing.

Comments or Hearts Are Missing

Everyone in the family with access can comment and use Heart.

A parent can remove a child’s comment.

Comments cannot be edited by the author.

If the whole post was deleted, the comments and Hearts disappear with it.

Community Is Missing

Community may be missing because:

  • The user is a child
  • A Premium family turned Community off
  • The Community tab is hidden by the current plan setting
  • The app needs to refresh
  • The family recently downgraded or changed plans

Children cannot access Community.

Community After Downgrade

Turn off Community is Premium-only.

When Premium ends, the Community tab becomes visible again.

Community notifications may resume.

A Community Post Has Not Appeared

Parent-created Community posts are reviewed by admins before publication.

This includes photo posts.

A submitted post may not appear immediately.

Do not submit the same post several times only because it is waiting.

A Reported Post Disappeared

Reporting a Community post:

  • Hides it from the reporting parent’s view
  • Sends it for admin review

The post disappearing does not mean the review is complete.

Blocking

Parents can block another Community user.

The exact effects on posts, comments, and profiles should be verified.

Mute is not available.

Comments cannot currently be reported.

Community Profile Looks Wrong

Community uses a separate parent profile with:

  • Community name
  • Community image

It does not show:

  • Family name
  • Child names
  • Child information
  • Location

Update the separate Community profile rather than the family profile.

That is expected.

A Community post is still waiting

It may be under admin review.

A post cannot be edited

Campfire posts cannot be edited after publishing.

Community returned after Premium ended

That is expected.
