Why a Task Is Not Appearing

Task visibility controls who can see a task and where it appears. It helps each family member focus on what belongs to them without getting overwhelmed by everything else.

Quick Start

  1. Open the task or task list.
  2. Check who the task is assigned to.
  3. Review whether the task appears for the child, parent, or family.
  4. Check the view where the task should appear, such as Today, Weekly, Weekly View, or Planner.
  5. If someone cannot see a task, confirm the assignment, date, due time, and status.

Why this helps

A focused check can solve the problem without rebuilding the family setup.

Good to know

  • A task may not appear if it is assigned to someone else, scheduled for another day, or already completed.
  • Visibility should support focus. Kids do not need to see every family task.
  • Parents may need broader visibility than children.

Family Example

Ask each family member to open their view and name the one task they are responsible for today.

Good to Know

  • Start with the smallest version that solves the problem.
  • Change one setting at a time so you can see what helped.
  • Missed days are information, not proof that your family failed.
  • Open Help in the IAFT app and send a message if something does not work as expected.

Best First Action

Ask each family member to open their view and name the one task they are responsible for today.
