How to Send or Request S’mores

Any family member can send S’mores to or request S’mores from another person in the same family.

There are no special eligibility rules.

The family should still agree on when the feature should be used.

Send Versus Request

Send

One person transfers S’mores to another family member.

Request

One person asks another family member to send a chosen amount.

Examples:

  • A sibling helps another child reach a Goal.
  • Family members pool S’mores for a shared reward.
  • A child requests S’mores promised by another person.
  • A parent sends S’mores as a family transfer.

How to Send S’mores

The basic flow is:

  1. Open Wallet.
  2. Choose Send.
  3. Select the family member.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Review the transfer.
  6. Confirm it.
  7. Check both Wallet histories.

Exact steps and source-account behavior should be verified.

How to Request S’mores

The basic flow is:

  1. Open Wallet.
  2. Choose Request.
  3. Select the family member.
  4. Enter the amount.
  5. Add a reason if supported.
  6. Send the request.
  7. Wait for the other person to respond.
  8. Check Wallet history.

Confirm whether requests require explicit acceptance or another current action.

Use Send for a Family Reward

Because S’moresUp does not have a pooled Family Reward account, the family can choose one collecting account.

Example:

The family wants a 600-S’mores movie night.

  • Maya sends 100 to Noah
  • Ava sends 150 to Noah
  • Noah already has 350
  • Noah requests and redeems the reward

The whole family uses the reward.

Use Send to Support a Goal

A family member may choose to help another person.

Example:

A sibling is 20 S’mores short of a book Goal.

Another sibling sends 20.

This can teach generosity, but it should remain a choice.

Use Request Clearly

A request should have a reason the other person understands.

Examples:

  • “Please send the 20 S’mores from our shared cleanup.”
  • “Can you help with the family movie reward?”
  • “I am 10 short of my Goal.”

Avoid repeated requests that pressure siblings.

Choose Family Rules

The product allows family members to send and request freely.

The family may decide:

  • Requests need a reason
  • Parents review large transfers
  • Children cannot pressure siblings
  • Family rewards use one collecting account
  • Save and Goal S’mores should not be sent without discussion
  • Transfers are reviewed during a weekly check-in

The product provides the tool. The family provides the rule.

Which Account Supplies the S’mores?

Confirm whether Send uses Spend by default or allows another account.

A practical rule is to send from Spend unless the family agrees to move S’mores from Save or Goal first.

This keeps protected savings visible.

Wallet History

After a completed transfer, check:

  • Sender balance decreased
  • Receiver balance increased
  • Correct amount
  • Correct people
  • Transaction recorded for both members

Stop and use in-app Help if the transfer appears twice or goes to the wrong person.

Send Is Different from Move

Move

Changes Spend, Save, or Goal for one person.

Send

Transfers S’mores between two people.

The two actions should not be confused.

Request Is Not a Reward Request

A S’mores request asks another family member for S’mores.

A Reward Shelf request asks a parent to approve a reward.

They follow different flows.

Common Problems
