S’moresUp gives families three main ways to look at time:
- Today’s Progress
- Family Calendar
- Weekly View
Each view answers a different question.
| Area | Main question |
|---|---|
| Today’s Progress | What needs attention now? |
| Family Calendar | What is coming up? |
| Weekly View | What happened this week? |
Use Today for action, Calendar for planning, and Weekly View for review.
Today’s Progress
Today’s Progress is the working view for the current day.
Use it to see:
- Chores due today
- Pending chores
- Chores waiting for approval
- Completed chores
- The family view
- One family member’s view
- Different card styles such as Slider, Stack, or List
A child can use Today’s Progress to answer:
What do I need to do next?
A parent can use it to answer:
What needs approval or follow-up right now?
Family Calendar
The Family Calendar helps the family plan ahead.
Use it for:
- School events
- Practices
- Appointments
- Birthdays
- Family outings
- Game nights
- Trips
- Recurring events
- Chores displayed alongside events
An event is not the same as a chore.
A chore is something a family member completes.
An event is something the family needs to know about or attend.
Weekly View
Weekly View shows chore activity across the current or prior week.
It can help families review:
- Completed chores
- Pending chores
- Missed chores
- Late chores
- Locked chores
- Chores waiting for approval
- Activity by family member
- Activity grouped by category
- Activity grouped by time
Both parents and children can access Weekly View.
Parents may also use it to update certain chore states, including marking a past chore complete, moving it back to pending, approving it, or rejecting it.
Excuse is not available from Weekly View.

A Simple Weekly Flow
At the end of the week:
- Open Weekly View.
- Look at the current week.
- Filter by one family member.
- Group by category or time.
- Notice one repeated problem.
- Change one chore, reminder, or schedule.
- Celebrate one completed responsibility.
The goal is not to rebuild the whole system every week.
Example: School-Day Planning
Maya has:
- Pack backpack by 7:30 AM
- Soccer practice at 5:30 PM
- Put lunchbox in the sink by 6:30 PM
Today’s Progress shows the chores.
The Calendar shows soccer practice and can also show the chores.
Weekly View later shows whether the backpack or lunchbox chore was repeatedly late or missed.
Each view supports a different decision.
