How Weekly View, Activity Log, and Wallet History Differ

S’moresUp has more than one place to review past activity.

Each area answers a different question.

Area Best for
Weekly View What happened with chores this week?
Activity Log What broader family actions happened?
Wallet History Why did the S’mores balance change?

Choose the area that matches the question.

Weekly View

Use Weekly View for chore activity.

It can show:

  • Current week
  • Prior week
  • Family-member filters
  • Category grouping
  • Time grouping
  • Completed chores
  • Pending chores
  • Missed icon
  • Late chores
  • Locked chores
  • Approval activity

Parents can also:

  • Mark a past chore complete
  • Move it back to pending
  • Approve
  • Reject

Excuse is not available from Weekly View.

Activity Log

Use Activity Log for broader family activity.

The exact action types and filters should be verified.

It may help answer questions such as:

  • Who changed something?
  • When did a family action happen?
  • Was a broader product action recorded?
  • What happened outside the current Weekly View period?

Do not describe the Activity Log as a full audit system until the current scope is confirmed.

Wallet History

Use Wallet history for S’mores and reward activity.

It may include:

  • Chore earnings
  • Reward deductions
  • Cash-Out
  • Send
  • Request
  • Manual Bonus
  • Penalty
  • Movement between Spend, Save, and Goal
  • Goal activity

Wallet history helps explain the balance.

Example: Missing S’mores

A child says:

I completed the chore, but I do not see the S’mores.

Check:

  1. Weekly View for the chore state
  2. Approval status
  3. Wallet history for the earning

If the chore was rejected, no S’mores were awarded.

Example: Unexpected Deduction

A child says:

My Spend balance went down.

Check Wallet history for:

  • Reward approval
  • Cash-Out
  • Send
  • Penalty
  • Account movement

Weekly View will not explain most Wallet-only changes.

Example: Chore State Changed

A parent wants to know why a chore is pending again.

Check:

  • Weekly View
  • Approval or rejection flow
  • Activity Log, where the action is recorded

The exact Activity Log record should be verified.

Example: Review the Week

A parent wants to know whether Morning chores are often late.

Use Weekly View.

Filter by family member and group by time or category.

Do not use Wallet history for this question.

Keep the Areas Separate

Weekly View is not:

  • A monthly report
  • A full analytics dashboard
  • A Wallet ledger
  • A complete family audit log

Wallet history is not:

  • A chore schedule
  • A Calendar
  • A complete progress report

Activity Log is not:

  • A replacement for Wallet transactions
  • A formal weekly summary

Each area has a focused job.

Both Parents and Children

Both parents and children can access Weekly View.

Wallet and Activity Log access may differ by role and current settings.

Verify exact child visibility before publication.

A Simple Review Order

When something looks wrong:

  1. Start with the family member.
  2. Check Weekly View if the question is about a chore.
  3. Check Wallet if the question is about S’mores.
  4. Check Activity Log for broader action history.
  5. Use in-app Help if the records do not explain the change.
