Canceling S’moresUp Premium stops future renewal.
Premium normally stays active until the end of the current paid billing period.
Cancel through the provider used for the purchase.
Important: Deleting Does Not Cancel Billing
Deleting any of the following does not automatically cancel the subscription:
- S’moresUp app
- Family
- S’moresUp account
If you are no longer using S’moresUp, cancel the subscription separately.
Do not assume that removing the app stops renewal.
Cancel from S’moresUp
S’moresUp can provide a path to manage or cancel the subscription from inside the product.
The final cancellation may open:
- Apple subscription settings
- Google Play subscription settings
- Website billing controls
The exact flow depends on where the subscription was purchased.
Cancel an Apple Subscription
The basic flow is:
- Open the S’moresUp subscription controls or Apple subscription settings.
- Find S’moresUp.
- Review the renewal date.
- Choose Cancel.
- Confirm the change.
Apple manages the store subscription.
Cancel a Google Play Subscription
The basic flow is:
- Open the S’moresUp subscription controls or Google Play subscription settings.
- Find S’moresUp.
- Review the renewal date.
- Choose Cancel.
- Confirm the change.
Google Play manages the store subscription.
Cancel a Website Subscription
For a subscription purchased through the S’moresUp website:
- Open the subscription or billing area.
- Sign in with the correct S’moresUp account.
- Review the active subscription.
- Choose Cancel.
- Confirm the end-of-period date.
If the website controls are not available, contact S’moresUp support.
What Cancellation Does
Cancellation:
- Stops the next scheduled renewal
- Keeps Premium active through the paid period
- Does not delete the family
- Does not delete chores or history
- Does not immediately remove Premium before the paid period ends
When the paid period ends, the family continues on Free.
What Cancellation Does Not Do
Cancellation does not automatically:
- Refund earlier charges
- Delete the family
- Remove the app
- Close the S’moresUp account
- Transfer the subscription to another store
- Preserve a grandfathered price for a later subscription
Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on:
- Purchase provider
- Refund policy
- Purchase date
- Reason for the request
- Applicable law
For Apple or Google Play purchases, use the applicable store process.
For website purchases, contact S’moresUp support.
A cancellation prevents future renewal. It does not automatically refund a completed billing period.
Legacy Price Warning
Canceling an eligible legacy subscription removes the legacy rate.
If the family subscribes again later, the current available price applies.
This can affect subscribers paying older rates such as $4.99 or $7.99.
Failed Payments
S’moresUp does not currently have a separate recovery system or billing grace period.
The billing provider may apply its own retry behavior.
A failed payment may affect access or legacy pricing.
Verify the Cancellation
After canceling, check:
- Status shows canceled or non-renewing
- Premium end date
- Billing provider
- Confirmation email
- No second active subscription exists
Keep the confirmation until the paid period ends.
Common Questions
Does cancellation end Premium immediately?
Normally no. Access continues through the paid period.
Does deleting the app cancel?
No.
Does deleting the family cancel?
No.
Can I cancel inside S’moresUp?
A management path is available, but the final flow depends on the billing provider.
Does cancellation create a refund?
No, not automatically.
Will I keep my legacy price?
No. A later subscription uses the current price.
Best First Action
Identify where the subscription was purchased, then cancel through that provider and save the confirmation.
