Use Weekly View in S’moresUp

Weekly View is the S’moresUp reporting experience for current and recent chore activity.

Use it to see what happened across the week without opening every chore one by one.

Quick Start: A Five-Minute Check

  1. Open Weekly View.
  2. Choose the current or prior week.
  3. Filter to one family member when helpful.
  4. Group by category or time.
  5. Review one win and one repeated problem.
  6. Make one change for next week.

Parent Actions in Weekly View

  • Approve a chore
  • Reject a chore

Parents cannot Excuse a chore from Weekly View.

Use the normal chore-card flow for Excuse.

Today’s Progress Versus Weekly View

Use Today’s Progress to answer:

What needs attention now?

Use Weekly View to answer:

What happened across the week?

Use Calendar to answer:

What is coming up?

Each view has a different job.

Filter by Family Member

Use the member filter to review one person’s activity.

This can help answer:

  • Are the chores assigned correctly?
  • Is the workload realistic?
  • Are reminders arriving at the right time?
  • Is one category often missed?
  • Is the child ready for more ownership?

Do not use the filter only to compare siblings.

Group by Category

Category grouping can reveal patterns such as:

  • Morning chores missed often
  • Pet care working well
  • Kitchen chores assigned unfairly
  • Evening tasks arriving too late

The category should help the family understand the work.

Group by Time

Time grouping can show:

  • A crowded morning
  • Too many after-school chores
  • Approval delays in the evening
  • Chores that conflict with practices or events
  • Flexible chores using the wrong due time

Change the schedule before adding more pressure.

Review Approval and Rejection

When Approval is on, S’mores wait until the parent approves.

After rejection:

  • The chore returns to active
  • No S’mores are awarded
  • The child can correct and resubmit
  • The original submitted photo is no longer visible

Weekly View can help the parent find Approval activity, but Rejected is not a permanent visible status.

Review Late, Locked, and Missed

Late

The chore was completed or remains available after its due time, depending on setup.

Locked

Premium Lock prevented normal completion after the deadline.

Missed

Weekly View uses a missed icon.

Use the pattern to decide whether timing, clarity, ownership, or workload needs adjustment.

Review S’mores Separately

Weekly View explains chore activity.

Wallet history explains S’mores balance changes.

If an earning looks wrong:

  1. Check the chore in Weekly View.
  2. Check Approval.
  3. Check Late Penalty or Collaborate split.
  4. Check Wallet history.
